Tempeh Tacos Recipe

These vegan tempeh tacos are a tasty and nutritious alternative to traditional tacos. For a burst of flavor and texture, the tempeh is seasoned with a spice blend and topped with fresh vegetables and avocado slices.

  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil.
  • In a skillet, combine the tempeh, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes, or until the tempeh is browned and crispy.
  • Set aside after removing from the heat.
  • In a separate skillet, toast the corn tortillas for 30 seconds per side over medium heat.
  • Fill each tortilla with the tempeh mixture, avocado slices, cilantro, and red onion.
  • Before serving, squeeze a wedge of lime over each taco.
