Tender strips of seasoned steak are paired with sweet and savory caramelized red onions in these steak and red onion tacos, which are wrapped in warm corn tortillas and topped with your favorite toppings for a customizable dinner that everyone will love.

  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat a large skillet on high.
  • Combine chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  • Season the steak with the spice mixture, coating evenly.
  • In a hot skillet, add 1 tablespoon olive oil and the steak strips.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until browned and thoroughly cooked.
  • Set aside after removing from skillet.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil and the sliced red onions.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened and slightly caramelized.
  • Warm the tortillas until slightly charred in a dry skillet or over an open flame.
  • Fill each tortilla with steak strips, caramelized onions, and any other desired toppings before assembling the tacos.
  • Serve right away and enjoy.
