Fish Tacos with Pickled Onions and Avocado Crema Recipe

These fish tacos are a flavorful and fresh take on a classic. The white fish is seasoned with a spice blend and baked until tender and flaky before being served on warm corn tortillas with tangy pickled onions, fresh cilantro, and a creamy avocado crema.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  • Combine the cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  • Place the fish fillets on a baking sheet and coat with the spice mixture.
  • Drizzle the olive oil over the fish and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until thoroughly cooked.
  • Make the avocado crema while the fish is cooking by combining the avocado, sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and black pepper in a food processor or blender until smooth.
  • Warm the tortillas in the oven or in a dry skillet over medium-high heat for a few minutes.
  • To make the tacos, spread a spoonful of avocado crema on each tortilla, then top with a piece of fish, pickled onions, and cilantro.
  • With lime wedges on the side, serve.
